Removing x rated content from recently added

So I just bought a new Roku tv, my first one and I was super excited for the nextflix and Hulu channels and dropping chrome cast but when I went in free streaming and recently added I saw some fun stuff but then my wife pointed out that there is porn in there as well. After a night of digging I really can't find much on how to remove this so I don't have to worry about my boys finding this. If there is no solution I'm going to have to return the tv. I'm sure some one has asked before but I just can't find it.

Thanks for the help

Re: Removing x rated content from recently added

Thanks for raising this question. Please feel free to send me a private message to report any channel that may violate Roku's Developer Terms: https://support.roku.com/article/220128567-how-do-i-create-or-update-the-pin-for-my-roku-account-

Thanks,

Re: Removing x rated content from recently added

No one the home menu under free streaming I went to just added and then there was porn there and I understand that if I put a pin on my kids can't buy it but the thumbnail is still an image that is so close to nudity that i don't think it would he hard for a kid to fill in the blanks for the self.

I have never seen even one show advertised in any way on my Rokus that would be at all pornographic. Particularly I have never seen any ads that showed any nudity beyond what appears on most public beaches.
If there is such showing on your Roku then I would like to know exactly where it is coming from. Maybe you could  take a picture of what you are seeing and post it here so maybe someone can track down the culprit.
But, and I know that this will offend some but I REALLY do not care, if an image of even partial nudity is truly traumatizing to a child then I suggest the real problem lies with the parent not the child. People really need to parent and not depend on others to shield their child from some possible offensive images. I would object more to shows or ads depicting unpunished violence than I ever would to shows with even full nudity and even then good parenting would easily negate any negative impact to a child.

It's not about depending on someone else it's that they are 5 and 2 and I want to be the one to talk to them about it not a random tv or show.

This is a video of how easy it is to get there from my home screen.

Re: Removing x rated content from recently added

Are you letting your kids control the tv unsupervised? I'd say that's your first mistake..

I don't thing a 5 year old or 2 year old should have control of any remote control.

Also, I don't think it's "easy" for someone their age to get to the screen you're showing.
Yeah, I got some Rokus.

Re: Removing x rated content from recently added

It's more I can be in the kitchen I don't give them the remote but they are crafty buggers who figure stuff out way to fast or early than I expect. But they maybe 5 and 2 not but I'm not buy this tv for 1 year I had my last one for 12 years they will grow and I want to know that when they hit teenage years I can keep control.

Re: Removing x rated content from recently added

There probably should be an adults only section for official channels that can be locked with a pin, but then there's the problem of deciding what's "adult". The two channels shown probably have plenty of nudity, but i doubt there's any actual sex that would qualify as an "adult" channel, in other words they're most likely R rated, not X, and since mainstream channels like Netflix have R content it's not really feasible to lock R rated content with a pin. The thumbnails could be monitored a little more closely, but that's probably the most that could realistically be done.
