Remote nag screen

I can’t get to the “home” screen because I keep getting a freaking nag screen trying to sell me a new remote, how do. Get rid of this nag screen !?!

i can get to Hulu, YouTube, etc, with the individual buttons but as soon as I press the home button, BANG buy a remote scree.  Help

I've never seen such a screen so I can only guess at what to try.

First thing I'd try would be to restart the Roku.  These things are just little special purpose computers. Like their big brothers sometimes you need to clear things out by restarting them.

If you can get sufficient control with your remote, restart via Settings > System > System restart (Or for Roku TV: Settings > System > Power > System restart)

If a restart doesn't do it, or if you can't get enough control with the remote to use the menu system, try pulling the power plug to the device for a minute or so then plugging it back in.
