I am trying to add a private channel using the channel code and every time I do I'll get a message saying that my region is incorrect. I've tried creating a new account and relinking my roku to the new one but still no luck. I've tried multiple channels and get the same result every time. Does anyone know what's wrong?
That appears to be a generic error message that is returned when one enters a code for which there is no established channel app. I just tried entering a nonsense letter combination and got what I suspect is the same error message you are seeing. I guess the error message is technically correct -- if the code is invalid it does not represent a channel available in that region -- but it is misleading.
When I entered a known valid code (as I did by entering KICKSON66), I was given a warning about the channel being "uncertified", but I could go beyond that and install the channel. Like any channel installed to one's account via the website, it will be installed to the device on the next update of the device's software. You can force an immediate update via Settings > System > System update.
