Region availability of web service

Hello, I've jut found out about Roku via this page on Lifehacker https://lifehacker.com/how-to-watch-the ... er_twitter

I've visited the Roku website but it insists that "The Roku Channel is currently not available in your region. Please visit the TRC help page check on supported regions."
The help page, incidently, gives a 404!

Elsewhere on the website it talks about various UK media channels, such as BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and so on, so unless these are being offered as attractions to overseas customers, I cannot see why, as a UK based person, I should be disallowed from using Roku.

If anyone could shed some light on this situation, I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance,
Carl

Roku, the device, is available in the U.K. and many places across the world. It has apps for BBC, ITV, among many many others. The app "The Roku Channel" is only available in the U.S.
