Read Tweeter via a Roku Channel? If not, why not?

Is there any where to read tweeter on a Roku Channel?
For years, i have had the nowhere*** channeL,, Was working til about 6 months ago.,now cant log in any longer. IE does not work any longer
If not possible, Why or when will Roku have a way?

It is possible to create a Roku channel that uses the Twitter API.

However, Twitter's API and the degree of access provided is continuing to evolve over time as explained in this article:

In your view, what exactly would a Twitter client on Roku do?

You would want to watch tweets for a specific search term that is updated once per minute?

You would want to be able to login and check your friends list?

How complex dd you see this being?

RE:

My tweet account is said up to receive local news,weather alerts, police alerts,etc,  other miscellaneous tweets.  Just reading them on a Roku channel would be fine.
