As @optikhog mentioned, for more information about that channel's features and functionality, you'll want to contact Discovery Plus support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.
This is a roku issue. This issue is not present in firetv stick or my Apple TV. I believe this is poor roku os implementation: I haven’t had time to look at the error logs. Will update with my findings.
