Please remove inappropriate ads for children

This is unacceptable.  I should not be seeing ads for pornographic and R-rated videos on the home screen. I will be seeking a refund if there is no option to remove inappropriate ads from my children.

Roku, Amazon (Fire TV), and Google (Android/Google TV) all have ads. The only major platform without ads is Apple TV, however they do include promotion of content from their Apple TV+ service (a kind of ad).

Re: Please remove inappropriate ads for children

I'm really getting tired of this. Don't like what ROKU is doing? Fine, don't use one. End of story. ROKU is a streaming system. This is not broadcast. They are free to put out pretty much whatever they choose. Also contacting the FCC is useless. Again, this is not broadcast.

Re: Please remove inappropriate ads for children

I'm really tired of these replies.  Obviously I could choose to not use their service.  I'm petitioning for a change to their policy to improve my user experience.  Why do people feel the need to come on these forums to make comments like these? Would having an option to limit inappropriate ad exposure for children somehow affect your user experience in ANY way? No. "End of story"

I was going to suggest watching the dates carefully since most retailers have a 30-day refund period, and any change within that time seems unlikely.  But then I noticed that that was posted a year ago.  So, I suppose you have made your choice (for now at least).
