Where did you get the feeds for Archive.org? I couldn't find xmls with mp4 enclosures.

every archive.org collection page has an RSS badge that links to a feed with enclosures. for instance: http://www.archive.org/details/classic_cartoons

Re: A Couple New Channels with More to Come

I appreciate the effort you've put into these channels. Thanks!

Is it possible to add the full episodes of PBS Nature to your PBS channel. There are 40 of them that can be found at the following link:

These are all flash based video and fall into the same category as hulu and tv.com. They are not in a format compatible with the Roku box.

Re: A Couple New Channels with More to Come

If you guys want to request a channel, you'll need to look for sites that contain links for Podcasts, Vodcasts, or something that says "Subscribe to show." These usually have rss feeds that have links to mp4 files, which the Roku supports.

Re: A Couple New Channels with More to Come

The PBS full episodes had an RSS feed link on the page, but when I looked at the feed it didn't specify the video type.

All podcasts are RSS feeds, but not all RSS feeds are podcasts. The RSS feed on this page (http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/category ... -episodes/) is not a podcast. To be a podcast, an RSS feed must contain <enclosure> tags which point directly to media files. It's confusing, I know.

Re: A Couple New Channels with More to Come

Nowhereman awesome work ....I am a huge cnet fan and was excited to see you add that channel. was wondering if other shows from cnet were going to added like Buzz Out Loud or Loaded? or when you finalize a channel whatever content that is shown is all that is allowed or available ?

Thanx once again. Patchman

That makes sense. Is it only mp4 files that Roku will play or will it play container file types like .mov if they are mpeg4.
