Re: Nowhere TV

Is anyone else having problems streaming DW TV on Nowhere? I have a great connection and can easily stream Netflix and Hulu in HD, but for some reason DW World always stops and starts. I am on a Roku XD player.

I can stream it via the web fine.

Is this just me or are other having similar issues?

I'm watching it now on my Roku with no problems. The picture quality seems to be pretty good, although during the first few seconds of the stream I can hear the audio, but no video, just a black screen. After those few seconds, however, everything seems fine, audio and video in sync. FYI - there's a new firmware update rolling out - 3.1/build 1011. You could try updating your Roku: Settings screen>Player info>Check for updates and see if it makes any difference.

Re: Nowhere TV

Belltown: Thanks for the suggestion. I am running the latest software. I tried it Monday night at it streamed fine. I wonder if the feed is actually coming from Europe? My cable connection is generally rock solid, but perhaps there were network issues out side of Comcast.

Re: Nowhere TV

Hi. I don't have a Roku yet, but I was wondering if this app can stream Adult Swim Gold episodes (http://video.adultswim.com/gold/index.html). I know that Adult Swim is on the list of channels on Nowhere TV but I just wanted to know if it is compatible with the new Gold Episodes online feature. If it does, this will convince me to buy a Roku.

It does not. If only Adult Swim made its' own channel, and this an option... oh well, I guess I will just have to watch DVD's of my beloved Venture Bros.

Re: Nowhere TV

Nowhere TV is great so far! Are we allowed to request a channel? I don't know all that's involved in supplying/maintaining/building a channel like this, so I'd want to follow protocol.
Is there a specific place to request? Do you need an RSS feed or a URL with video feeds?

Yes. Just ask in this thread, posting the URL. Nowhereman, aka RokuChris, checks this thread often.
If the channel you want is in a Roku compatible format, and it's legal, he will often add requests.

Ah thank you! And thanks to RokuChris!!
Not sure if these would be Roku compatible, but WNEP in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre market has live feeds (sometimes) and video:

Probably a longshot, but I figured I would ask.

Thanks again!

Here are links to the video sections from these two stations plus the local NBC station as well:

I haven't read all of this thread but love this channel.

I would love to see the local news in Shreveport, LA added here. KTBS and KSLA have streaming video that I can get with my Android phone or iPad but I would like to have them on my Roku as well.

Whether this can happen or not, I give Rokus to many of my friends and always tell them to be sure to add Nowhere TV to their channel list.
