No longer able to access Amazon Prime on Roku XS

When I select Amazon Prime on my Roku XS, the prime logo pops up and states the catalog is being retrieved (normal) but then the Roku XS then reboots. I have tried to manually rebooting the Roku and then request Amazon Prime but each time the Roku reboots on it's own. The other apps work fine (Netflix, Hulu).

I can find no listing on Amazon re which Roku models their Roku channel app will run on.

I found this on a rokuguide.com article about Prime Video:

  • Prime Video is available for Roku 2 (except for models 2720x and 27020EU), Roku 3 (except for model 4230x), Roku Express, Roku Express+, Roku Streaming Stick (except for models 3400x, 3500x and 3500EU), Roku Streaming Stick+, Roku Premiere, Roku Premiere+ and Roku Ultra as well as Roku TVs.

The XS designation was only used on the Roku 2 XS, model 3100, released in 2011.

The Roku 2 XS is not listed above, although some of the more recent Roku 2 models (without the XS designation) from 2015 and later are supported.

The 2 XS is a very early model, and is considerably older than the supported models listed.  It cannot run a number of channels that rely on the enhanced capabilities of more recent units.

In the case of Netflix and Hulu, they both have older "legacy" or "classic" versions of their apps that will run on some older Roku models, but they do not support some of the features of their current apps, such as multiple user profiles.
