The message says that I need to update my Roku but it is updated each day at 4.30pm. This has been going on since I installed stick last Wednesday. One of the reasons I bought the stick was to access UK tv on my TV. All other channels fine.
Have you tried checking manually for an update to your device? You can do this from the Home screen in Settings > System > System update.
Have you tried removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more. Does this clear up the issue you are seeing?
