same problem still exists. tried uninstalling the spectrum app. rebooting the roku modem and reinstalling the spectrum app. still no joy! channel freezes and then after long delay, it returns to roku home page.

is there a fix?

this is ridiculous.

@skyplummer

Thanks for the post.

Can you please provide us with more information? What Roku device model are you using? Is this kind of issue happening on other channels or is it just occurring on the Spectrum channel?

If the issue remains unresolved, I'd recommend reaching out to Spectrum directly to report the issue and request additional support. Many channels on the Roku platform are developed and maintained by the channel provider directly, and they'll be able to best assist. If other channels are working correctly, and you only experience this issue on the Spectrum channel (app), that is likely an indication that the issue lies within that particular channel. In these cases, the channel provider will need to investigate the issue in order to help resolve it.

You can reach them here: https://www.spectrum.net/support/

Thanks,
Danny

I am having buffering issues so annoying, I cannot watch tv. I also have 500 MBs all other apps are stable . I even tried the spectrum app on Apple TV vs. roku because spectrum told me there are less issues. I am literally watching from all the individual apps of each station. I have tried everything this is crazy. The buffering is terrible and I’m paying for it!

ive been experiencing the same frustrations going on more than a month now. it is not roku because all other apps are working properly. it is just spectrum. i had a spectrum tech come to my home and test the modem. modem was working properly. they are taking no accountability for this because it is an application and in their opinion the service is not being interrupted. completely ridiculous!!

Yes! I’m downgrading my service with spectrum to a minimum getting rid of the one box I have left, and I’ll watch tv via each station’s app, because all of those apps are fine. I’ve had techs come, endless conversations, my choices are pixelated with their box or buffering with their app. What a monopoly, I don’t wasn’t to get roped into a dish either Smiley Sad

Check your router permissions. Fixed mine.

Hi there I have several different roku devices, I have tried on old boxes and streaming sticks that are new, 5g and non 5g. I don’t know if you read but I have gone so far as trying the Apple TV platform, same results. It is only the spectrum app, all other apps are stable. I don’t have this issue if for instance, I went directly to the TLC app.  It is not one channel, it’s all the channels  we are watching. I have talked with spectrum directly on sooo many occasions to no avail.

I'm not sure my Spectrum app issue is the same as described, but I have huge problems playing back a file on the cloud dvr. As soon as you forward through a commercial the file "time shifts" to the beginning of the recording -- there are issues fast forwarding through commercials.

I've spoken to the support at Spectrum, most don't know anything about their streaming choice or cloud dvr services. One finally did know a bit about it and had me remove and uninstall the app on roku.

That solved the issue for less than one hour. They don't seem to have a solution short of going back to their hardware dvr etc. Anyone able to help?

I'm having this problem and it's just insane that it has gone on so long with no end in sight. I have 2019 Ultras throughout the house connected to an Orbi RBR50 with satellite. NOTHING ELSE has a problem, JUST Spectrum's app. I have reset the router and declined Armor install. It was good for a day or so then started up again. This makes me think it's some kind of timing or sync issue with Spectrum servers. I'm mad and about to just move to Youtube tv.

Alright I think I have this fully sorted:  Activate IPv6 on your router.
