LOL.. I hope you're joking, because if you're being sarcastic, I think it's hilarious.

He is... he's making fun of some previous comments.

Re: New Channels on Roku

I do not see Smugmug in the channel store on the PC, but will check it out when I get home. I have a power user account for Smugmug and yes, it is worth it. I am fixing to upgrade to pro and start making some $$ to help move up. Taking pictures is one thing, promoting them is another.
You stated other free sites, but upload 4,000 pictures, then ask for a backup. Not sure if you will get it, but Smugmug offers this at a great price.

Re: New Channels on Roku

DreamTV constantly buffers. No problem playing HD content in Netflix. I suspect it will be like Mediafly when it first started. They will have to upgrade to meet the new demand.

We talked to our CDN vendor and they informed us that they have fixed this issue. Would appreciate if you get a chance to check DreamTV again.

Also again - many members have pointed to our correct website -
www.dreamtvs.com and it is NOT an ARAB site Smiley Happy

Re: New Channels on Roku

Thanks for your work on this channel Hari.. Even if it did have "Arab" content on it, I'd still enjoy the variety your channel offers..
Yeah, I got some Rokus.

Interesting write up about DreamTV:

http://www.tvover.net/2010/02/01/DreamT ... ntent.aspx

According to the article, they will eventually charge a $2 subscription.

I will keep my on the channel to see if they introduce more content in the next 45 days, but as it stands right now, I don't think there is enough content, at a high enough quality to justify $2 a month.

Edit: Then again, I might buy a 1-year subscription just to support this type of effort. I suspect it is channels like this that will probably provide the bulk of content on Roku; and with enough support, perhaps they will flourish. I might be willing to part with $24 to try and support what they are doing.

Re: New Channels on Roku

There's a listener supported radio station in my town, and 30% of the time it plays the kind of music I like.. I make donations to this station just because I think the concept of it is important to the community..

I think if DreamTV was donation-based instead of subscription based, they'd be more successful.

DreamTV is fairly good

We checked out DreamTV last night. A couple of the cooking shows were good. New foods to eat. Who knew until now? A film we started to watch last night called Through a Fisheye was really good and kept us watching tv. It was a long movie, so we did not see the end. Will catch the rest tonite.
There were several others we will check out time permitting.

I enjoy Smugmug as I am a Smugmug account holder.

I choose to pay $5 a month to RadioParadise.com for the same reason.
