Netflix having trouble playing this title 5.2.4

Guys, please help! I’m getting a 5.2.4 error.

We are having trouble playing this title at the moment. Please try again later or select a different title.

The thing is it’s appearing for movie and tv titles. I can still play jeopardy those kind of retro shows. I have tried reset Roku. Reinstall Netflix. Restart network. All failed.

For more information about that channel's error codes and functionality, you'll want to contact Netflix support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.

Hello, did you ever find a fix to this problem. I'm having the exact same issue and it's driving me crazy! Seems like it won't play any title that's in HD.

Having exactly the same issue and it seems neither roku or netflix are particularly helpful. Any advice gratefully appreciated!

That error means that the Roku isn't able to reach the Netflix servers. Here is what Netflix says to do:

Restart your Roku

  1. Unplug your Roku from power for at least 10 seconds.
  2. Plug your Roku back in.
  3. Turn your Roku on by pressing any button on the Roku remote.
  4. Wait 1 full minute.
  5. Try Netflix again.

That's all they offer. And, there's not much more they can offer if something is stopping your Roku from contacting their servers. It could be on their end, but if that was the case, you'd find something here: https://downdetector.com/status/netflix/

It could be something wrong with your Roku, but if that was the case, it would probably impact more than Netflix for you.

It could be something wrong with your network, but again, that would probably impact more than Netflix for you.

It could be your Internet connection, but that would impact more than Netflix for you.

It could be your ISP. That would probably impact more than Netflix, but maybe not, depending on the nature of the problem.

And, it could be the Internet path between you and Netflix. Which will resolve itself eventually, and probably would impact a lot of people.

So, what can you do? Well, you can try the steps listed above that Netflix provided. Will those help? Well, if something is jacked up in your Roku, it may resolve it.

Or, it may simply give you something to do while the actual problem is resolved by others wherever they are.
