Netflix and Amazon Prime continuation

After watching an episode of any show both Netflix and amazon prime continues automatically to the next episode. No pause or opportunity to to read the caption for the next episode. Can this feature be changed? I just upgraded from a 5 year old Roku and it always paused before starting the next episode. Any suggestions?

For Netflix, you can go to the web site and adjust settings under Account/Playback Settings.

For Amazon, go to https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/settings/playback/ref=atv_set_playback
