Starting last week I have not been able to watch the NFB Channel. I choose it and it shows the splash screen, then goes to the opening page for about a 1/4 second then kicks back out to the Roku page again. I removed the channel and reinstalled it but it still does the same thing. Anyone else having this problem?
Thank you Makaiguy, I will try that. NFB is excellent, that's why I wanted to get it back.
Many thanks Makaiguy, that did indeed fix the problem! Cheers! Now I can get back to enjoying some excellent Canadian shorts and films, like "The RailRodder" or "Helicopter Canada". All filmed back in the glory days of the 60's and 70's.
Same problem here. The reboot didn't fix it for me. I also love NFB but can't watch it now.
Did you delete nfb first, then reboot, then reinstall nfb?
Hi,
As @Courtney1 mentioned, we recommend removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restarting your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more.
If the issue remains unresolved, I'd recommend reaching out to the channel provider directly to report the issue and request additional support. Many channels on the Roku platform is developed and maintained by the channel provider directly, and they'll be able to best assist.
Thanks,
Danny
I too have this issue. It started on my Premiere+ a few months ago. I too did the remove-reboot-reload cycle several times without success.
However, here some additional info. A few days ago, I purchased a Premiere unit (not a +). When I set it up, it migrated the channels from my account. The NFB channel worked great! After a bit, an "update" came through for the Roku. I as you might have guessed, the channel stopped working immediately after that update cycle.
I believe the issue is within the firmware on Roku and not with the channel.
In my case, after I reinstalled the channel, I could set the display resolution and language fine, but when the front page loads, it just bounces back to my home channels page. On the second time in, I get the option to sign up for emails, then after making a selection, once get bounced out to the home channels page.
Not a good experience.
