NBC Sound & Error Messages

NBC local channel sound is almost completely inaudible. I have to turn up volume to 70 to 80 to hear it. Anyone else have this problem? It's been going on a while. Also, MSNBC and NBC have error messages a lot. I'm fed up.

You didnt mention your Roku model # and firmware version: Settings/System/About

Its also not clear if you have a Roku TV and are referring to an OTA channel, or using the NBC app.

1)  Try restarting:

     Roku player:  Settings/System/System restart/Restart - try again

     Roku TV: Settings/System/Power/System restart/Restart  - try again

2)  Reinstall the app: 

     A) Remove app

     B) RESTART ROKU: Settings/System/System restart/Restart  <- MUST do this!

     C) Add app again - try again

We have the same issue with NBC.  Are device is a Roku 3900x. Express.  I do not see a system tab under setup, to be able to reset.

Resetting and Restarting are different things (there are 2 different Resets and 1 Restart option)

To restart your Roku:  Settings/System/System restart/Restart

Try reinstalling the NBC app following the procedure above.

Otherwise, contact NBC/local affiliate (they control app content):

I am also having this sound issue when using the live option of the NBC app. I have done all the troubleshooting, no help.

Thanks for the post.

Are you experiencing this issue with other channels? If you are only seeing this issue occur on NBC, you'll want to contact NBC support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.

As of today there is NO sound what so ever on the local KING5 channel on the NBC app. Only KING5, Seattles local NBC affiliate. Sound works great for all other channels availabe in the NBC app. And all my other Roku channels are working great.

I installed the KING5 app and sound/volume is normal. Just an issue with NBC channel on Roku and only on the local live channel.

Very frustrating...

This is happening on my Roku Ultra device. 

Will this issue ever get fixed????? Very frustrating...
