Movie Store Fandango now vs Vudu

Hi guys,

Is there a way to change the provider of the movie and tv store in Roku? I have a couple of TVs with Roku Premiere and Roku express respectively, where the movie and tv store defaults in Fandango now, but my Roku Tv has Vudu instead instead as provider and I want to change it. Is this possible?

No. I'm assuming you bought the Roku TV from Walmart? It's common for Walmart devices to have a separate movie store, naturally being Walmart-owned Vudu.

Walmart has its own Roku distribution channel -- the model number will often end with RW -- and those items get a slightly different build.

Got an update.

The normal movie store is Fandango Now. For Walmart purchased items, it's Vudu. But now there's a twist. Fandango Now is being absorbed into Vudu. Yes, Fandango Now is going away.

If you're asking about other services, no. Originally, the store was M-Go, which was bought by Fandango. The default was then Fandango Now, except for Walmart items which were Vudu. And now Vudu is taking over the Fandango Now service entirely.
