MTV "you are not connected to the internet" message

I have the MTV app on my Roku device along with many other apps. This app recently started giving me a random problem where it will kick me off in the middle of a show and say "you are offline, check your connection". But every single other app on Roku works, I am connected to the internet. Just MTV keeps kicking me off. Now it does it even more frequently than before, like every minute now. What can I do? I deleted and redownloaded the app and it didn't fix it

Between removing and reinstalling the channel, do you restart your Roku? This step makes sure there is no vestage of the.original installation hanging around in memory and assures you get a full installation of the latest version of the channel.
