Help & troubleshooting for channels on your Roku device, including adding/removing channels, logging in to, authenticating, or activating a channel, channel-specific playback issues, assistance contacting channel publishers to report issues, and adjusting channel-specific settings.
No, I haven’t tried adding the channel to my home screen. I just click the Roku icon because it is one of the live channels in the Roku app. Does this mean you want me to remove the Roku icon on the home screen?
I removed Roku from my homescreen, rebooted the system and then re-added Roku to the homescreen and I am still having the problem of the MGM SciFi channel going black. Only now it is worse. Instead of every 2 to 3 hours it does it more like every 1/2 hour. What is the Problem?
If the issue remains unresolved, I'd recommend reaching out to MGM SciFi directly to report the issue and request additional support. Many channels on the Roku platform are developed and maintained by the channel provider directly, and they'll be able to best assist. If other channels are working correctly, and you only experience this issue on the MGM SciFi channel (app), that is likely an indication that the issue lies within that particular channel. In these cases, the channel provider will need to investigate the issue in order to help resolve it.
Are you still experiencing this issue? We are not able to reproduce the issue you are experiencing.
Can you please provide us with the following information: -Roku model -serial number -device ID -OS (these can all be found in Settings > System > About) -channel version (this can be found be selecting The Roku Channel on your Home screen and pressing the * button)
