I've read the previous posts about Hulu program freezing ar commercial. I read the update fix post but my hulu is still freezing at the beginning of a commercial. I checked manually for updates and there are no updates. I tried deleting the app restarting roku, unplugging and reinstalling hulu and nothing seems to work. It's really annoying. I steam on another device no problem it just seems to be a reoccurring issue with hulu on my roku. This is the second time this has happened. The first time I deleted, restarted and reinstalled, but this time that didn't even work.

I'm assuming this happens when the commercials are at a different resolution and/or frame rate than the program you're watching and the Roku tries to adjust its output to accommodate. If so here are some things you can try:
Settings > Display type -- try setting this to your TV's resolution instead of the "auto detect" option. When you get the countdown screen click the "yes" option.
Settings > System > Advanced system options > Advanced display settings > Auto-adjust display refresh rate -- try changing this On/Off setting to it's opposite value.
