Hulu Losing Connection

Jump to solution

Is anyone still losing connection with Hulu? I saw this was an issue a few months ago. I did all the updates. I have multiple Rokus wired and wireless. It happens on both. No other apps are impacted.

@edmtb15

Thanks for the post.

Try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more.

Does this clear up the issue you are seeing?

Thanks,
Danny

Re: Hulu Losing Connection

I did all the suggestions from both Roku and Hulu and even called the internet provider, all to no avail.

What finally worked was to use my laptop (hang on a sec...) to load the show and start the stream. Then exited that (I have a one-person account) and tried again on my TV using the Roku. This is what has worked, quickly even, for the past 24 hours. Is it perfect? No. But it beats spending the 45+ minutes I did on messing with the internet speed, resetting, restarting, deleting, and re-adding the app.
