Re: Spotify Linked With Roku Credentials

Jump to solution

I've tried all the recommendations described here, but the 4K+ device I just bought doesn't launch the Spotify app. The most intriguing thing is that everything continues to work perfectly well on another device, older, with the same apps and updates.

Re: Spotify Linked With Roku Credentials

Oi Danny!
Thank you for the answer.
The Spotify app does not open on the device I just bought (Express 4K). I've reinstalled and reinstalled several times, but the app doesn't work and doesn't even appear in the home feed.

I also tried to restore factory settings but the problem persists. I logged out of Spotify account on all devices with no result.

Strangely the Spotify app works perfectly on an older device I have (ROKU Express FULL HD) with the same settings and the same software version.

3941RW - Roku Express 4K+

Serial Number:

X01600JCAPR1

Software version:

10.5.0 • revisão 4208-CR

Device ID:

SOAH21CCAPR1

Please. How can I fix this?

@Reberson

Thanks for the post.

Try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more, specifically in that order. Please note that performing a factory reset is not required for making a clean channel install.

Does this clear up the issue you are seeing? Please keep us posted what you find out.

Thanks,
Danny

Re: Spotify Linked With Roku Credentials

I've got a similar problem to the others however my Spotify App wont even open, I select it and it opens slightly and closes without even getting to the account part. It only last about a second on the screen.

I've done all the restarts including the factory restart and nothing works.

Any new suggestions?

Re: Spotify Linked With Roku Credentials

Hello @noeleyryan

I hope you're doing well.

Does the issue only occur on Spotify or across other channels installed on your Roku device?

If you haven't tried yet, you can remove the affected channel and re-install it. To ensure the process is successful, make sure to restart your device before adding the channel back in. We would recommend doing this from the Settings menu by navigating to Settings > System > Power (If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.) > System restart.

For detailed instructions, refer to this Support link: How do I resolve channel playback issues?

Keep us posted on how it goes!

All the best,
Kariza
