When i open hotstar app on ROKU, the app opens up but any videos that i want to play once i am in the hotstar app , the video just crashes and doesnt work. My Roku is connect to Sony Bravia. Any help / pointers to what may have gone wrong. Hotstar was working for almost an year before it stopped working suddenly and i have no clue.
Try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more.
If the issue remains unresolved, I'd recommend reaching out to Hotstar support directly to report the issue and request additional support. Many channels on the Roku platform are developed and maintained by the channel provider directly, and they'll be able to best assist. If other channels are working correctly, and you only experience this issue on the Hotstar channel (app), that is likely an indication that the issue lies within that particular channel. In these cases, the channel provider will need to investigate the issue in order to help resolve it.

I reached out to Hotstar and this is what they had to say "Hi! We do not support Roku devices. We have Chromecast, FireTV, Apple TV for big screen experience. We also have our app for Android TVs (OS 7 and above) , Samsung TV (Y'16 and above) and LG TV's (Y'18 and above)".
