Highlighting active channel

I've noticed something how my elderly mother uses/not uses her Roku, and I'd like to offer an idea.  When a channel is selected, a bright yellow line appears around the selected channel.  My mother still has difficulty with the navigation.

Is it possible to highlight the whole box; perhaps with a light yellow transparent coloring the whole box?  I think then my mother could more readily tell where she navigated to, and select a channel.
