I have linked my cable provider within the HGTV and DIY Network apps. But when I attempt to watch live tv, it requires me to either sign in again or prompts me with "This content is available to viewers who receive HGTV as part of their pay TV subscription" (which I have included in mine).
Sometimes I can log out of my linked provider and log back in, but that is so inconvenient and doesn't always resolve the issue. Seems like a glitch in the apps. Anyone else having this issue?
For more information about that channel's account authentication, you'll want to contact the channel provider support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.
