We have been viewing the show “Without A Trace” for several weeks and tonight we are being asked to pay $1.99 for each episode. We are midway on last season. Why suddenly are we being asked to pay. The last viewing was 12/30/20. we want to continue to watch without paying for each episode. Coincidence?
What channel were you viewing this on? I note that Prime Video is currently charging $1.99/episode for earlier seasons in SD, and $2.99/episode for later seasons in HD. They can also be subscribed to for entire seasons.
Stations like Prime don't own most of the programming they carry so they must license their programming from the owners, for specified date ranges and regional showings. These licence contracts expire and get renegotiated regularly, which can result in programs being withdrawn, shifted between tiers, etc.
Questions about program carriage like this one are best directed to the channel on which you are viewing them.
On Roku, without a trace now cost $1.99 an episode. Whatever the problem, Roku needs to honor its programming. There is a difference right and wrong, and right now there is a horrific smell coming from Roku.
