I have a Roku Premiere 4k streaming device that is connected to my 4K TV. I have various apps, including AppleTV, MoviesAnywhere, Google Play, and FandangoNow. FandangoNow is the only one where I have subtitles out of sync with the movie. Most of the time they are slower, and a few movies are very slow. I have tried pausing, restarting the movie / the app, turn off my TV, made sure my device is up to date, and none of those things seem to help. And I don't have the issues with other apps I mentioned.
When problems are confined to a particular channel, it may be that the channel did not install correctly, has received a faulty update, or has subsequently gotten corrupted. A reinstall to get the latest version may fix the problem, so give it a try. Remove/reinstall procedure:
Highlight channel on home screen.
Press * key and choose Remove channel option.
IMPORTANT- DON'T SKIP: Restart the Roku to clear its memory via Settings > System > System restart. (On a Roku TV, this is Settings > System > Power > System restart.)
Reinstall the channel. Note it will be added to the END of the channel grid.
If channel requires a login, you may need to log in anew.
