Help & troubleshooting for channels on your Roku device, including adding/removing channels, logging in to, authenticating, or activating a channel, channel-specific playback issues, assistance contacting channel publishers to report issues, and adjusting channel-specific settings.
Every time i try to watch ESPN it says "The country specified is not supported". All my location settings are set to the United States and my zip code is correct, but it is still giving me that message. My cable provider is directv if that helps. Any suggestions?
I am having the same issue. I get 2 errors. 1st "Location Not Allowed, Access not available in your location" then the next screen says "The country specified is not supported." All Roku settings are correct with a US zip code. My cable provider is Verizon. Please help!
The first thing we would recommend is try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more. You may need to reauthenticate the channel with your credentials.
If the issue remains unresolved, I'd recommend reaching out to ESPN directly to report the issue and request additional support. Many channels on the Roku platform are developed and maintained by the channel provider directly, and they'll be able to best assist. If other channels are working correctly, and you only experience this issue on the ESPN channel (app), that is likely an indication that the issue lies within that particular channel. In these cases, the channel provider will need to investigate the issue in order to help resolve it.
I had this same issue with ESPN app on Roku using Verizon FIOS internet. I determined it was an issue with Verizon FIOS by switching connection to my mobile phone Hotspot and it was fixed. In order to fix Verizon FIOS I called Verizon. They had to perform an internet services reset from the main central servers. Issue is now resolved.
