Likewise, found the stick that was plugged into the TV the TCL replaced. Seems a bit redundant. 🤔
I DID contact Disney. It's the ROKU update that is causing this !
If you listen to what people are saying, its the latest build that is causing this error! PAY ATTENTION!
Absolutely crazy they keep saying contact Disney or update Disney app. This is clearly an issue with the Roku firmware. Take some accountability and roll back or fix it.
I couldn't agree with you more. This kind of error cannot be imposed on the user. The point is that I wanted a refund and Roku told me that I could only renew my subscription after the current time limit. It makes no sense that Roku couldn't process my refund request right away. Since I subscribed to Disney from TCL Roku TV, I could only get a refund through Roku. It's ridiculous that I didn't get the service I deserved for the money I spent, and I can't get a refund.
Spent this morning with Disney+ chat with no resolution through all the usual steps. This a newish TCL 65inch which worked great with Disney+ for about six weeks and now shows the message on attempts to start any program. No problems with any other service. Disney+ works on all other non-Roku devices in the same room. I also hope the volume of this problem will cause someone to address it.
I think it is time to turn up the volume on Social Media and get both Roku and Disney+ attention. I am going to post something each day that the issue is not fixed on their social media feeds. I hope all of you will do the same. Here are their links:

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the post.
As stated previously in this thread, for more information about that channel's error codes and functionality, you'll want to contact the channel provider support directly to inquire further. Many channels on Roku are developed and maintained by the channel provider themselves.
Thanks,
Danny
Sorry Danny, we are not buying it. Disney+ cannot solve the issue. Roku did the most recent OS update and since we can roll back, we are faced with a non-functional app on specific models of Roku TCL TVs. Rather than deflecting, get an engineer working on a resolution.

Danny,
I appreciate the response and understand the positioning and that is one of the reasons why I gave the build information Etc over to Disney when I spoke to them. Frankly I have not received a response from them either. I think my ask here is to know that the two business partners are working collaboratively to help their mutual customers find resolution. If both groups are pointing the defects back at each other those of us in the middle are the ones getting poked. Disney may well be the owners of the defect in their application but being the experts on your (Roku) platform wouldn't your offer of assistance and expertise help resolve the issue that much quicker?
Issue was first noticed Friday. TCL TV Roku app, Disney+ wont play newer shows. Simpsons works great.
Roku tv A119X
TCL model 55S536
Software version 11.02 build 4138-88
I have no issues with other apps & no issues with Roku/Disney on other tvs
I see the Roku update was Aug 3rd so the issue began with the Roku update.
