Disney+ and Netflix contents are pixilated

Mine will open the app and let you pick something to watch but then it's super pixialted. Tried removing app and reinstalling but still won't work. It's just with Disney+ and Netflix.

Thanks for the post.

Have you tried restarting your router? Most of the time, pixelation is due to a slow internet connection.

Also, please be advised that restarting your Roku device is crucial before adding the channel back in. If you haven't tried the suggested order, we would recommend giving it a shot once again.

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Remove the channel: Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press the Star button to open the options menu. Select Remove channel and confirm.
    • Note: If you are removing a subscription channel billed to your Roku account, you must cancel the subscription before you see the Remove channel option. For help identifying this type of subscription channel, read the detailed article about removing a channel.
  2. Restart your Roku device: If it is inconvenient to reach the power cord to unplug your Roku device, you can restart the device from the settings menu. Go to Settings > System > Power > System restart > Restart.
  3. Re-install the channel: After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Channel Store and add the channel again.
    • Note: If you are adding a subscription channel billed to your Roku account, you will need to resubscribe.

@RokuKariza-D I don't believe it's a router problem as all my other smart tvs aren't having the same problems.  The others are TCL ROKU SMART TVS. It is only the 65 inch Hisense Roku Smart TV having the issues. I noticed tonight that also Movies Anywhere does the same when you try to watch a movie. 

I will try once again to delete and reinstall the channels with the issue and reboot my roku TV but if it doesn't work again what is my next option. We only just bought this TV in May and our return policy has run out.

Please note,  Remove/reinstall procedure - do things IN THIS ORDER:

  1. Highlight channel on home screen.
  2. Press * key and choose Remove channel option.
    Restart the Roku to clear its memory via Settings > System > System restart. (On a Roku TV, this is Settings > System > Power > System restart.)
  4. Reinstall the channel. Note it will be added to the END of the channel grid.
  5. If channel requires a login, you may need to log in anew.

If the problem persists at this point, it typically means the current version of the channel app has a problem that must be addressed by the channel itself as they are the ones that create the Roku-compatible version of their app and provide it to Roku.
