Re: Disney+ Content Tiles Not Loading or Error Installing Channel

Jump to solution

Thanks for the notes here. Sorry to hear about some of the hiccups you're running into!

The Disney+ channel is currently experiencing high demand due to high popularity, which may result in some performance issues across various platforms which offer their service. Disney+ is working diligently to help address these issues and get things running smoothly.

In the meantime, if you are seeing missing content, or images that aren't loading in the channel interface, please try restarting your device, and trying again.

If you aren't able to install the channel, or receive an error, please restart your Roku device from Settings>System>System restart (or Settings>System>Power>System restart on Roku TVs). Then, check for a system update in Settings>System update>Check now. As long as you are using a model of Roku device that the Disney+ channel supports, the channel should install, even if it takes a few tries.

If you need additional help or support, please contact Disney+ support here: https://help.disneyplus.com/

Thanks,

Tanner

Re: Disney+ Supported Roku Device Models

Jump to solution

@TeamFreese  If you are using a model of Roku device that isn't supported by the Disney+ channel, you wouldn't see the channel appear in the 'Streaming Channels' on your device. We've been working with Disney+ to help clear up any issues that were reported around launch, which may have impacted your experience earlier.

You can review Disney+'s supported Roku device models here: https://help.disneyplus.com/csp?id=csp_article_content&sys_kb_id=a168b614db4d40d03c0cf158bf96198e

Unsupported models of Roku devices include:

2400, 3000, 3050, 3100, 2450, 2500, 3400, 3420

You can visit Settings>System>About on your device to confirm the model number.

Hope that helps clarify!

Tanner

Re: Hulu Disney Plus Bundle

Jump to solution

@cleoti

Hi there,

Thanks for the note. Disney+ is only available as a standalone subscription on the Roku platform. In order to subscribe to the bundled services, you'll need to contact Disney+ directly.

If you do not see the Disney+ channel appearing on your device as an option to add, it's possible that your model of Roku device isn't supported by the Disney+ channel. You can see the list of supported device models here: https://help.disneyplus.com/csp?id=csp_article_content&sys_kb_id=a168b614db4d40d03c0cf158bf96198e

Unsupported Roku device models include:

2400, 3000, 3050, 3100, 2450, 2500, 3400, 3420

If you have any other questions about subscribing, supported devices, or bundle pricing, please contact Disney+ support here: https://help.disneyplus.com/

Re: Disney + on roku 2

Jump to solution

Hi there,

For any playback, licensing, or location errors you may be seeing, or if you need help signing into the Disney+ channel on your Roku device, please contact Disney+ support. You can reach them here: https://help.disneyplus.com/  or by calling 888-905-7888.

We'd recommend trying to remove the channel from the Roku home screen, restart your device from Settings>System>System restart, then add the channel back again. If that still doesn't clear up the issue, as a last report troubleshooting method, you might try performing a factory reset on your device, then setting it up again from scratch. See the steps for this here: https://support.roku.com/article/208757008-how-do-i-factory-reset-my-roku-streaming-device-

Location errors are not an issue with your Roku device. This is something that Disney+ and/or your ISP (related to your IP address registration information) will need to assist you with related to your network or their content delivery systems.

Re: Disney+ Channel

I have a Roku 3600x and couldn’t stream Disney+. Everything gave me a “Protected Content License Error.” I went into my Roku Settings -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Factory Reset. It will be a bit of a pain because you have to basically do a new setup of your Roku, but it worked!! I’m streaming Disney+ with no problems now!

anyone see disney + (disney plus) on their channel options yet? I have a subscription because it said that it would be available on roku, but i don't see it.  I know the service doesn't start until November 12, so maybe on that day it will show???

No. I’ve been wondering the same thing. I too saw we could watch it on roku but when I couldn’t find the app, I waited to sign up. I wonder if it’ll show up once Disney + goes “live”?

Doesn't appear that it will be available until the channel goes live, or maybe a day or two before.

Re: Disney+

Since we have to use the current Roku search function how can we add any channel/network that has a + in it because there is no + to choose from?

Re: Disney+

Just search for Disney and it will appear. You don't need to type the complete name. It matches partial entries.

Re: Disney+

I just tried that and it did not work.  Disney + does not appear.  Only a 1 minute message that says "Disney Plus will stay family friendly"

Next time you may want to try it yourself 1st before saying anything?
