Disney Plus

Jump to solution

hi,

I have a roku 4230X and I am in Australia.

I cannot find disney plus in channel list, nor am I able to search for it.

Can anyone shed some light and what I have to do to get Disney plus added?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes has 9.2.0 installed.

I also don't have the 'search' function on the channel list but have scrolled through the list and it's not there.

Disney+ is not available outside the US and Canada on Roku devices. You would have to ask Disney why, but it's completely under their control, and Roku cannot offer it outside of where the developers designate.

Hello,

Did you ever get an answer on how to take advantage of this offer through roku? I notice that there is no Verizon app for Roku, so I'm thinking this is a come on to subscribe  to Verizon internet service.

Jim

Not through Roku. You can only get it by being a new Verizon internet customer or an existing Verizon phone customer, so yes, it's a pure Verizon come-on. I've had Verizon internet only for a few years now and I don't even qualify from what I can see. From what I can figure out, once you sign up for an internet plan (or if you are a Verizon Unlimited customer), Verizon sends you a link to use to sign up for Disney and you use your Verizon email address to sign up. Once you have a Disney account, then you can download the Disney Roku app and log in with your Verizon credentials - but it all has to be initiated through Verizon.

Disney+ says email doesn't exist

Jump to solution

I have a paid subscription for Disney+ that I set up through my Roku TV. We can watch it fine on the TV, however, when I try to log in to the Disney+ website to watch on other devices, it says my email doesn't exist. I've confirmed that this is the same email that it's set up with on my TV. I've spoken with Disney support and they say there is no record of my email being associated with an account. Any ideas on what is going on?

Re: Disney+ says email doesn't exist

Thanks @RokuDanny-R, however, I'm not sure you read my concern properly. I can log in on the Roku TV no problem, which is where I set up my Disney+ account. But I can't log in to Disney+ anywhere else (laptop). It says that the email isn't connected to an account. I have already contacted Disney+ and (of course) they say to contact you because I set the account up through you. It seems that the account information didn't get sent over to Disney after setting up my subscription through the Roku TV. It's lost somewhere between and neither of you thinks it's your issue...
