DVR end of recording

DVR recordings used to have a  3 minute extension and now it is only 1 minute. Is there a way to revert the extension to 3 minutes?  For example a 1 hour show used to record for 1 hour and 3 minutes it is now only 1 hour and 1 minute.

It would be helpful is we knew which app and service you were referring. Roku itself doesn't have DVR capability, but some services allow DVR capability "in the cloud."
