Criterion & Screambox channels - subtitles no longer working

Using Roku Ultra 4660X, running firmware 9.4.0 Build 4176-46

Using Criterion channel version 6.10 Build 1.

Using Screambox channel version 5.803 Build 1.

Subtitles have completely stopped working on all titles.

Roku captions mode is set to "On Always" and "English".

Pressing * on remote during playback shows captions are set to "On Always" and the track is set to "English." I've tried toggling these settings off and on to no avail.

The Criterion Channel is Vimeo based. The Screambox channel uses the same API, and this issue affects Screambox also.

This is getting ridiculous. Roku continues to release untested software updates and they are breaking paid channels.

My Criterion subscription costs me $89.99 per year. My Screambox subscription costs me $35.88 per year.

I have tested this issue by playing back titles that I have watched before that I am 100% sure had working captions when I watched them on these channels. Captions no longer appear for these titles.

I want this fixed.

I got subtitles working again on these channels by doing the following:

- Start Channel and log out
- Remove Channel
- Run System Update
- Restart Roku
- Add channel back from Streaming Channels
- Run System Update
- Restart Roku
- Run System Update
- Start Channel, log in using web code
- Play back title, subs are now working

I didn't think that would work, but it did. Not sure how long it will stay working without having to do the above again.
