Just set up Roku for my elderly parents. As long time DirectTV satellite customers, they were eager to cut the cord due to the **bleep** service and price increases they've endured over the years.
For them, the most challenging part of switching to Roku has been having to access separate channels within Roku. They have Hulu + Live TV but also had to subscribe to a few other channels (Frndly, RFD TV) to get them access to a few shows they like to watch regularly.
Is there a way to simplify/consolidate the 3 main channels/services they watch into one guide (similar to how satellite has one guide for all channels)? I'm aware of the Roku channel guide, but isn't that only for Free Live TV available to Roku? Would be great if you could add Hulu + Live TV content and other live channel content. Is that possible or is there another app that allows that type of consolidation?
Unfortunately, there is no real app to consolidate. The best you can do is use the move option to keep them close together. (highlight channel, hit asterisk "*" key, then choose move option, move with arrows, hit OK to drop it.)
