Connect a device - YouTube issue

I've streamed YouTube with no issues on my RokuTV for a couple of years. I've built a subscription list and navigated with no problems. Last evening my account subscription appeared to have disappeared and I received a notice that I had to sign in to the YouTube app by going to YouTube.com/activate. I entered the RokuTV on screen activation code at the prompt and my computer browser ghosted with no results. I am not able to sign in to YouTube on my RokuTV. Do I need to do something else? All other streaming channels appear to be working normally.

Remove the app.

Reboot the device.

Add the app.

On your computer, log out of YouTube.

Remove all YouTube and Google cookies and clear associated Local Storage.

Log in to YouTube on your computer.

Launch the YouTube app on Roku.

Try activating.
