Channel numbers change somewhat arbitrarily after selection

When I select channel 505, the guide switches to channel 5. Channels 5 and 505 are the same channel, except that, when I go into the guide, there is no channel 7 (which would theoretically be the same as 507), so to change from channel 505 (which changed to channel 5 after I selected it), I have to scroll through hundreds of channels just to go what should be two channels away. This issue ends up being just a continuation of multiple user experience frustrations with Spectrum for me.
