Help & troubleshooting for channels on your Roku device, including adding/removing channels, logging in to, authenticating, or activating a channel, channel-specific playback issues, assistance contacting channel publishers to report issues, and adjusting channel-specific settings.
Try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more.

For me and the original poster, the HBO Now (or Go) channel has disappeared recently. So there is no option to remove it. Every time I try to add it again, I get the channel install failed message. I have restarted and installed updates, but still get the same message. I pay for HBO via Uverse and would like to be able to access it from Roku as well.
We are disappointed that HBO will no longer give consumers access to HBO GO - and that HBO is taking this action when so many people are at home. After the service is taken down on 7/31, our customers can access their HBO subscription in a number of ways across our platform.
Users that subscribe to HBO through Comcast, Charter and AT&T TV can stream HBO on the Comcast Xfinity Stream, Spectrum TV and AT&T TV channels available on the Roku platform.
