Channel Stability Issues

I have a 2720X Roku 2 device and I am having stability issues specifically with the NBC and PLUTO channels.  I have deleted both channels, done an unplug and restart of the device, and added each channel again.  I have completed a speed test and investigated the device to verify that my internet signal is strong.  The NBC channel symptoms are the worst.  The channel will play for anywhere from 2 minutes to 6 minutes and then I will get the error message that I am not connected to the internet.  The audio will still play but my picture is blocked with the error message so that I have to exit the channel.  This has happened several times today and a few times yesterday evening.  Each time my device tells me that I am connected with a strong signal. The Pluto channel will load and then bump me back to the home channel after 60 seconds or so.  For now, this problem has seemingly been erased with the reload.  I realize that my device is old and that replacement may be the best option.  Please advise.
