Added channel. Pick book and click "play". Goes to "retrieve" page for less than a second, then returns to previous page. Can't get anything to play.

In case the channel did not install correctly, you can reinstall it via this procedure:

  • Highlight channel on home screen.
  • Press * key and choose Remove channel option.
    From home screen, Settings > System > System restart. This assures no remnant of the old installation remains in the Roku's memory. It may or may not make a difference, depending on what's causing your problem, but it's worth doing.
  • Reinstall the channel.
  • If channel requires a login, you may need to log in anew.

Roku is rolling out version 9.3 of its firmware.  You can see if your Roku has received this version via Settings > System > About.  Problems are starting to be reported with numerous channels under version 9.3.  Several people with problems after receiving the 9.3.0 update have reported success via the suggestions in this post:
