I'm helping my brother with his Sharp Roku TV. We got it setup, and signed into his Roku account. We can't sign into Netflix or Amazon Prime. When we click on the icon, it says these are paid services, and they must be purchased.
I have two Sharp Roku TVs of my own, and have never had this problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem?!
How strange.. So you try to open Netflix or Amazon, and they don't even let you in? You get stopped before even getting to either interface? Only thing I can think of is try updating the firmware. And if that doesn't work, you might have to perform a factory reset.

Did you skip the Credit Card entry? Sounds like there is a bug where if you don't have a CC associated with your account, you cannot download free channels. This user over at Reddit had the same issue with Pandora. After adding his CC he could then get the channels. Roku Official wants to "look into it".
