Although CBC TV is supposed to now be available across Canada on ROKU, the CBC app does not appear in the ROKU Channel Store whether through the ROKU TV interface or through the ROKU website, when accessed from Newfoundland.
Hey @DeepThought @jhabb @pwaddell @Mlkovacs @cfauteux @Nodecam , I got mine working and wanted to share how!
First off - I'm not a Roku specialist, but this worked for me. I can only hope (but no guarantee) that it works for you. My suspicion is that the problems lies in our accounts. My account is quite old, and I'm assuming that it was created as a "USA" account. Because I tested with a separate new account and it worked right away. So if you want to keep your account (and associated email), then you'll have to:
1. Go to your My Account page, and at the bottom "unlink" all your attached Roku devices from the account.
2. On the same page, click "Deactivate Account".
3. Once confirmed, you can recreate your account from scratch and re-add your devices back to it. When you make it, ensure that it is set as a "Canada" account, and your location is correct. yes, you'll have to log back in to any of your services/apps you have subscriptions too.
If it works the same as it did for me, you'll notice that on your device you can search and find CBC TV!
Please let me know if this works for you too.
Same thing here in Quebec. I can see the app here
https://channelstore.roku.com/en-ca/details/0242a278cfe3c00df08bd29bafb25b79/cbc-tv
but the option to add it is greyed out
Same thing for me in Saskatoon
Same here in BC
Same here in Victoria. Made sure all my account details are up to date but it is just greyed out.
Would be a great addition if we could only add it.
Having exactly same issue here in Vancouver. The "add channel" button is greyed out!
Been trying it in Montreal for 2 days, can't figure it out.

Thank you for this. I'll give this a try and report back.
Thanks For this. It worked for me.
I had suspected the account and the only place I could find to enter the country details was on the payment setup. Altering the payment setup did not work. Unlinking/disabling/recreating the account works.
It's unfortunate that I have to now re-add everything but I now can access the CBC TV.
Thanks again.
