BritBox plays on one but not the other

Jump to solution

We have 2 Roku Premiere devices, one in the bedroom and the other in the media room. Yesterday when we tried to connect to BritBox in the bedroom we couldn’t. Their tech support said their servers were down and to try later. This morning when we tried to connect to BritBox in the bedroom it keeps saying we have to subscribe. When I hit subscribe it says already subscribed but still won’t let anything play. However the one in the media room works like normal, no problems. I tried a factory reset in the bedroom but that didn’t help, same result. Any suggestions?

I would like to thank you for your prompt response. I did try BritBox tech support again and the problem did turn out to be on their end and it has been resolved. What confused me was one device working and the other not. But it is fixed now. Thanks again.

@SteveP369

Thanks for the inquiry.

Try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more.

Does this clear up the issue you are seeing?

Thanks,
Danny

I tried that but it did not work, and now the other ROKU device stopped working with BritBox as well. I just tried to unsubscribe from BritBox and reactivate it. Maybe that will help.

@SteveP369

Thanks for the update.

I'd recommend reaching out to BritBox directly to report the issue and request additional support. Many channels on the Roku platform are developed and maintained by the channel provider directly, and they'll be able to best assist. If other channels are working correctly, and you only experience this issue on the BritBox channel (app), that is likely an indication that the issue lies within that particular channel. In these cases, the channel provider will need to investigate the issue in order to help resolve it.

You can reach them here: https://www.britbox.com/us/help

Thanks,
Danny
