Channels & viewing

So I've had a roku device for a few years (Roku streaming stick), however, I've basically just used it for Netflix and Spotify. More recently I've been wanting to use different apps but the channels available are extremely limited. I do not have the option for Prime, Disney +, or actually any of the major streaming channels other than Netflix. Is there any way to solve this? These streaming services are available in South Africa so I do not understand why Roku won't allow access.
