BBC America

I have a ROKU 1 and my cable subscription is with COX. 

A few weeks back I added BBC America to my Roku channels. I did the verification thing on the computer where I enter the randomly generated digits from the TV screen and, on the computer, it said it completed successfully. However, the TV screen did not refresh and I was not able to watch any of the channel content. I've since tried again on multiple occasions and have even tried the power down/power up of the ROKU. Nothing changes it. I have emailed BBC America and it's now been at least 2 weeks without a reply.

Does anyone have any experience with this issue or know of another way I can watch BBC America?

Thanks for the post.

Try removing the channel from the Roku home screen by navigating to the channel tile, pressing the * key on your remote and choosing 'Remove channel'. Then restart your device from Settings>System>System restart. Once your player starts up again, add the channel back once more.

If the issue remains unresolved, I'd recommend continuing to reach out to BBC America directly to report the issue and request additional support. Many channels on the Roku platform are developed and maintained by the channel provider directly, and they'll be able to best assist. If other channels are working correctly, and you only experience this issue on the BBC America channel (app), that is likely an indication that the issue lies within that particular channel. In these cases, the channel provider will need to investigate the issue in order to help resolve it.

I have a Roku4 and the same issue. The channel never accepts the authorization. I have done all the normal stuff (remove, reboot, reinstall), etc... It authorized properly on an Express in another room. No big deal to me as many of the cable channel apps are mainly just backups if my DVR has a problem.
