Appletv app exits when trying to watch show

I just signed up for appletv+ and signed into the app on my Roku premier+ to watch a show. When I open the app and select a show I get a spinning icon making you think it’s about to start playing, but the screen goes black and you are back to the Roku home screen.  I have already tried rebooting the Roku, removing the app then reinstalling it. What else is there left to try?

Thanks for the post.

Please make sure you first remove the channel, then restart your device before adding the channel back again.

I have tried that including doing a factory reset on the device with no luck.

Thanks for the update.

If the issue remains unresolved, I'd recommend reaching out to Apple TV directly to report the issue and request additional support. Many channels on the Roku platform are developed and maintained by the channel provider directly, and they'll be able to best assist. If other channels are working correctly, and you only experience this issue on the Apple TV channel (app), that is likely an indication that the issue lies within that particular channel. In these cases, the channel provider will need to investigate the issue in order to help resolve it.
