Why is the Prime Video the only app that seems to impacted? All my other Roku apps work fine.

Prime Video Login

Our Amazon Prime video channel suddenly will not load. It always loaded with no issues until very recently (09/20). The opening 'Prime' logo flashes a few times, then the screen just goes black. I tried removing the channel, restarting the device (RokuExpress+), then reinstalling the Prime app, but get the same result. This does not appear to be the same issue many people are/were having with the Prime Video app bouncing back to main screen- just black screen in the past few weeks. Can anyone help?

I’ve been having the Prime Video app failure to get past the splash screen since 10/2.

information:
-Roku device model—3910RW Express+
-serial number—YG006W881007
-device ID—C53876881007
-software OS/version—9.3.0 build 4194-51
-how are you connecting the Roku device to your TV? composite or HDMI? — composite 
-what channel and what version/build is the channel — Prime Video version 11.4 build 2020090921
-tracker ID when this issue occurs — 07-415-092

I didn’t get a “courtesy credit” but my Amazon guy refunded the cc I had on file $5. I agree with you that it’s the principle.

That would be frustrating. My guess is an inferior wifi connection.

Assuming youve given the app enough time to load..........

Are you getting to the login stage? Who's Watching?

You can check Settings/Network/Check connection

You want to use a 2.4ghz wifi signal.

You can get a short HDMI cable and move your Stick around for a

better signal alo helps keep it cooL

Mine still has been working fine since I did the swap a week ago of plugging in an hdmi tv and then unplugging it while composite was still plugged in.

Because it's an issue specifically with the Prime Video channel. It's nothing related to the Roku itself, and Amazon is the one that has to fix it.

We have the same problem exactly.  And it has nothing whatsoever to do with an inferior wifi connection.

I'm having the same issue, using Roku Express+. The Amazon logo loads then all I get is a blank screen. The app itself never loads. It seems to go into a loop of trying to load, showing the logo then returning to a blank screen, etc.

Roku Model: 3910Rw - Roku Express+
Software Version: 9.4.0 - build 4174-51

Note: I use composite (RCA) cables due to having an older TV.

Prime Video Version 11.4 - build 2020090921

Just for laughs I tried Prime Video app again on Roku tonight. It works again! Either Amazon or Roku fixed SOMETHING!
