Re: Adult Empire App located elsewhere?

@GBush, I can't say whether no adult content/pornography was always in the distribution agreement or not, but I do recall at least an informal agreement that "adult" channels would not be allowed in the Channel Store and that has existed from the start.  You can believe what you want about private channels, but the vast majority of private channels did not serve porn.  It doesn't make sense to say adult channels were singled out.  I have no doubt it was all the pirate IPTV private channels that caused the removal of all private channels, but that's still just speculation on my part.

Re: Adult Empire App located elsewhere?

Roku puts this in their content policy

For Streaming Channels on The Roku Platform
The Roku Channel Store distributes an array of streaming channels from thousands of third-party publishers.
  • We support choice and believe customers should decide what they want or don’t want to watch, as well as what’s appropriate for the interests and preferences of their households.

Then this:

  • We prohibit illegal content, pornographic channels, and copyright infringement on our platform, and provide guidelines for content developers to require compliance with our standards.

What a bunch of BS.  Don't say you support a viewer's right to choose, and then take it away.  This is oxymoronic and hypocritical.
