I just started using an Amazon 4K Firestick to access The Roku Channel and created a Roku account--I'm new to Roku. I'm trying to add channels on the website Channel Store. Is this not possible? I'm getting a message that I can't do this without registering a device, however, online articles are telling me that I can do this through the Roku website (but that's not working), My only device is an Amazon Firestick and I downloaded The Roku Channel app. (The Channel app on Amazon is linked to my Roku account.)
Various devices (Firestick) and Smart TVs allow you to install and watch the Roku Channel, but you need a Roku device to install the Channels available in the Roku Channel Store.
Many/most of the available Channels available for the Roku streaming devices are available to download on your Firestick as Apps, but you can't do it from the Roku Channel Store.
Plenty of good videos on youtube explaining how to add these apps to your Firestick.
Also, here is FireTV forum. https://www.amazonforum.com/s/fire-tv
Good luck. You should think of adding a Roku device to your setup.

To further clarify --
The Roku Channel is just one of the channels available to view on a Roku device or TV with Roku built in. It provides access to several dozen ad supported viewing services plus other content that Roku has licensed directly. When viewed on a Roku, paid subscriptions to premium channels purchased through Roku are accessed through The Roku Channel.
Roku made The Roku Channel available to view on other platforms, including the web via therokuchannel.com, but this does not turn a non-Roku device into a Roku. It gives you access to The Roku Channel only. It does not provide access to other channels or premium subscriptions that may be attached to one's Roku account.
